" I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be honorable, to be compassionate. It is, after all, to matter; to count, to stand for something, to have made a difference that you lived at all." Leo Rosen

Stardust MELODY sung by NAT King COLE--Enjoy !
I love, love Nat King Cole, circa late 1950's. Voice of silk, his singing is enjoyable with your eyes closed too, try it...
Shining Gina, I had a hunch your epic garden had pink and misty lavender, and sho nuff!- it's in the beautiful floral shots above! By the way, even though it does not top Nat King Cole's version, I feel Willie Nelson came in with a close second with his Stardust version from his Stardust album in the mid 70's. Also includes "Sunny side of the Street' and a smoky "Moonlight in Vermont" Best!
Gina, Who would have thought such a beautiful gift would have come wrapped in a Youtube video? Thank you for sharing. It was a blessing. May I ask, what are those incredible blue and white flowers in the third picture from the top? The shape reminds me of hollyhock, but I've never seen anything like them. Blessings, Terri
Those are delphiniums . I bought them and planted them in my garden in two places this Spring. I love blue flowers too, so glad you enjoyed Nat King Cole, take care, Gina
thanks for the song AND the laugh today! the laugh was from your comment on my blog about never being told "you have the brownest eyes while wearing brown". that absotootly cracked me and my hubby up today! it's true though...you never hear that. i'm sure you have beautiful eyes!
Good Morning, What lovely blogs you have-sounds like little red riding hood : ) Anyway, I too love Nat and asked for and received one of his rare albums as a Christmas gift circa in the 1980's sometime. So, timelessly classic and fun to know that others love him too. : ) Alex
Oh my oh my.... what a genius. thanks for putting that up Gina, his timing, his tone of voice and the apparantly effortless approach to the lyrics...well it can't be bettered and seldom equalled. G.
I love comments , please leave one if you like. I try to respond to comments, but if I'm running behind, please know that I read each one before they are published. Thanks much, Gina
