Tragedy

I was out of town on a short family vacation when I got a call my youngest daughter had been killed in a car wreck yesterday. She was only 21 , it happened in the middle of the day, and our world and our hearts are crushed. I do not know when I will write again ,I have much to take care of. My  beautiful baby is gone.
Please take great care with the ones you love, Gina

  7. Oh Gina, my heart goes out to you. I'm up very late editing my blog so I can add my story of grief. I lost my first husband 5 years ago at a young age of 24. My mom in-law lost his son at a young age. I can relate to the horrible pain of grief. I'm truly sorry, I understand your heart is crushed. You're in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you in His loving arms. Please know you can contact or write to me anytime and I will respond. Jesus is with you even when it doesn't make sense. Please visit my blog and read 'about me' section on grief when you find time. My deepest sympathy for you and your family at this difficult time.

I lift up Gina and her family to You now. Only You know the depth of the pain and the anguish they are experiencing right now. I pray that You would comfort them as only You can. May Your presence be palpable in their lives right now. You are a very present help in time of trouble. Intervene in their lives in a mighty way Lord. Envelope them with Your love and peace as only You can. Raise up prayers for them Lord. You've promised us that in this world we will have trouble, but to take heart because You (Jesus) have overcome the world. May Your grace abound each and every moment that they walk through this very difficult trial. Thank You Lord.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am sunlight on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

  87. Gina you've been on my mind quite a bit. I know it's so difficult right now. When I lost my husband (he was only 33) it was the hardest most painful thing I ever experienced. My heart was shattered to pieces and I cried many tears. I was angry, confused, lonely, distressed, and afraid...My mom-in law lost her youngest son and we were all devastated. I had many questions then...My husband loved the Lord. We were all in shock of the tragedy because he was very young. My faith was truly put to the test, it was then that He drew me closer to Himself. Jesus was my anchor and strength. It has been 5 years since he passed away. There was mourning but God brought healing. It's too painful and confusing to fathom this now. I understand no words can change what happened but I pray for your comfort and strength through the journey. Grief can drain energy, please take care of yourself the best you can. I'm here anytime. E-mail or send a note through my blog whenever you want. I will respond, you can even call if you need someone to talk to. You and your family are in my prayers.

  98. Dearest Gina,
It's hard to know what to say, or what not to say. I fear this journey you're on may get more painful, before it gets less painful. People around us get on with their lives, yet this void, this whole in your heart remains. Please know that I continually lift you and your family up before the Lord. I pray you are enveloped and immersed in His love. I pray that He buffers you and that you experience hope and healing in Him. I wish there was something more tangible that I could do for you. If I could bring you a meal, or water your garden, or just give you a hug, I would.
    In His love,
